I can honestly say that Sarah’s support has been life changing for me. Firstly having the space to say “I find this really hard and I don’t get it” without judgement was invaluable and felt like a weight off my shoulders. This was followed by Sarah’s practical but compassionate approach to support.

I was quite nervous before I went along to a session as I’m aware I have an element of demand avoidance and was worried about how it would feel with someone telling me what to do. However Sarah’s approach meant I had suggestions and options for different ways to work with my brain rather than trying to fight it into submission.

I came away from the first session feeling so much calmer and also feeling like I’d learnt some tools that could help me going forwards. In a following session Sarah helped me overcome my fear around my finances and I’ve since submitted my first ever tax return, a task that had previously felt hugely overwhelming.

All of this was obviously brilliant but where I think Sarah’s true superpower lies is in her ability to beautifully accept her neurodivergence. There can be so much stigma around some of the challenges that being neurodivergent brings and the way in which Sarah recognises her strengths and abilities as much as any challenges she might face has helped me no end. I now feel less ashamed of the elements I struggle with and am on the way to a better level of self-acceptance thanks to Sarah’s role-modelling of this for me.

I can’t recommend Sarah or her sessions highly enough for anyone else who is looking for a space to make sense of the world when you’re wired slightly differently. And I look forward to attending many more sessions in he future.
